On November 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2017 will be held in Paris the 2nd European Labour History Network Conference, following the 1st conference which was successfully held in Turin in 2015.
This conference will allow researchers who study the history of workers and of work to meet, to exchange the results of their studies, to think together and to develop projects. It will welcome sessions and communications relating to various periods and various territories, adopting varied scales and prospects. It will give their place to the experience of workers and to their ways of fitting in the society, like to the social, cultural, economic and political aspects of the issues of work.
For the organization of this conference, groups established about various issues within the ELHN have already proposed to organize thematic sessions. The program is still open.Other groups may propose other sessions, up to the end of the month of January 2017. These proposals will be rewiewed by a scientific committee, which will meet in February. Then, the responsible of the accepted sessions will solicit speakers, directly or by means of calls for communication that we will get busy to make known. At the end of spring 2017, the organization committee will establish the program of the Conference.
But for the moment, it is a question of confirming the already evoked sessions or of proposing new topics, in order to give to this 2nd conference the appropriate extent and vitality.
