Claudia Bernardi è professoressa associata in Storia e Istituzioni delle Americhe (SPS/05) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche dell’Università di Perugia (dal 29/12/2022) e Principal Investigator del progetto STARS- Starting Grants ESSENTIA The Mobility Regime across Mexico and United States: the case of farmworkers from Tabasco and Oaxaca (1930s-1970s), presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Storiche, Geografiche e dell’Antichità-DiSSGeA dell’Università di Padova (dal 01/10/2022 al 30/09/2024). La sua prima monografia Una storia di confine. Frontiere e lavoratori migranti tra Messico e Stati Uniti (1836-1964), edita da Carocci nel 2018 ha vinto il Premio Opera Prima 2019 della Società Italiana per lo Studio della Storia Contemporanea-SISSCO. Fa parte del Direttivo SISLav ed è coordinatrice del gruppo di ricerca SISLav “Lavoro libero e non libero”.
